I do love me a winter wedding. But what really made this certain day so super amazing were these two ladies that brought everyone together for some great fun, food, and friendship! And a ton of laughs!!!

We created the portraits for their surpise proposal/engagement  a while back which was a total blast in it's own, but again, with these two the sparks really fly as does the laughter. Never a dull moment.

What is a surprise party without a whopper of a surprise. What most thought was just that, a surprise birthday bash were in for a shocker because Dan, owner of Public Landing Restaurant in Lockport IL, had something else up his sleeve for his lovely "bride-to-be....to-be(?)"

The Landing looked stunning. From the lighting wrapped century old beams, to the balloons hung in the loft and even iridescent purple orchids paired with soft pink roses!!! Gorgeous to say the least.

Throughout the night Dan's team at the Public Landing Restaurant created h'orderves and cocktails like you wouldn't believe. Not only pleasing to the eye but quite tasty as well. And exceptional service paired with great music from the live band. They all truly made it a night for these lovebirds to remember and I am happy to have helped capture this moment in their lives.

Engagement Pictures Joliet - Raquel + Colin

Well, the BIG day is here and these two love birds will be tying the knot in just a few hours at the lovely Jacob Henry Mansion right here in Joliet.

Colin is a huge hunter so getting into the forest with some gear seemed quite necessary... quite the catch there Colin :)

Can't wait to see what today holds!

One day to go till these two tie the knot with an amazing wedding at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet. These two are such a hoot together I cannot wait to see what unfolds tomorrow!

Jacob Henry Mansion Wedding - Joliet

Are you into vintage charm? What about old mansions with all the classic flare? I know I do and this California couple feels the same way. When Rebecca first contacted us she mentioned they were having a morning garden wedding at the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet - in casual yet elegant English Victorian Garden style... she went on to say, and I quote, "lace, lavender, cupcakes"! I was amped from day one and had a total blast working with these lovebirds from half a country away.

Upon finally meeting Rebecca and Xiong on their wedding day I honestly felt we sorta knew each already. Needless to say, we had an absolutely wicked awesome time creating their stunning wedding photography! We even had the privilege of creating a beautiful wedding video for them to debut at their California reception the following week to show-off how fabulous they looked. OH! And they even had a vintage Rolls-Royce limo take them away in style!!! PERFECTION!

Anyhoo, well done Mr. and Mrs. Yang! Stay awesome!
