We managed to beat the rain on prom day and got out to create a few prom photo sessions around the Aurora and Naperville area with some really fun seniors. Speaking of... this group from Waubonsie Valley was super fun... and stylin! Just look at those prom gowns!!! The blue tux and bow tie ain't too shabby either!!! Lookin' like a bunch of rock stars!

Senior Pictures - Street Fashion - Naperville IL Photographer

As a H.S. Senior portrait photographer I love to incorporate gorgeous Prom gowns into our senior sessions. And for this reason we also know of several top notch prom dress boutiques in the Naperville and Aurora IL area so when we got a call about going prom dress shopping with Maddy I was naturally on board.

Although we didn't quite get to photograph a prom dress in this certain scenario, we were able to help Maddy explore the area looking for the perfect Prom dress. Afterwards we ran out for a quick little urban street fashion session just before sunlight left us and the temps dropped.

I was looking for a more natural balanced lighting to mimic the existing sunset with these images and we were low on lighting since it was sunset so we balanced the flash temps and output accordingly so as to not over exaggerate the final images. Nice and soft and not too dramatic this time around. And Maddy is just a total natural in front of the camera and a total blast to hang with! Fun day! Fun shoot!

Although it was kind of a bummer since we got rained out and weren't able to get outdoors... but we rocked it and the barn offered A LOT... so kudos to that!

Woo hoo! Spring is fiiiinally here and thus begins Senior Picture season... outdoors!!! A tad on the windy side in Joliet this particular day but we used it to our advantage. Thanks for helping to kick this season off with the perfect start Molly! Love how these developed. You're a natural :)

Paramount Theatre Senior Pictures Aurora

FUN FUN FUN is the first word (or three) that comes to mind when thinking about this particular high school senior photo session. That are energetic. From our first meeting to plan the details and wardrobe I knew this was going to be a fun bunch.

Mariah is big time into band and theater so incorporating this was on the top of her list - and where better to create stunning senior photos with that in mind than the breathtaking Paramount Theatre in Aurora!?! And with what I would call a '50's glam look it was absolutely WICKED! She was definitely the star of the show!

Prom Fashion Show - Joliet

Had a AWESOME time photographing the Prom Fashion Show in Joliet for Guardian Angel's Prom 'N' Aide event with the Joliet Library Teens program. Such a great turnout with girls rocking the runway from several local high schools including Plainfield, Joliet, Bolingbrook, and even Wilmington. It was a total blast and got to meet some super cool people and help support a great cause! Well done to everyone involved!!! And great job showcasing those amazing Prom dresses! So fun!!!

And kudos to Vanessa for the amazing makeup artistry, Regency for the stunning hair styling, and all of the volunteers and dress donors that helped make this a night to remember... oh, and to Andrea and Jenni for another amazing event! Well done!

Joliet Senior Photos ~ Melissa

Meet Melissa! This girl is tough and braved some chilly temps the other weekend during her first senior portrait session which we photographed right here in Joliet. We'll be creating many more portraits together throughout her senior year at JCA and it's gonna be a blast!!! Can't wait to see her new look later this week too.
