Last weekend, approximately four days after Chicago's big 18" snowfall... aka. blizzard... myself and several other pals got out and braved the elements for a bit of an urban adventure and visited some great abandoned locations not far from the city. Among the many stops were the old City Methodist Church as well as the Ambassador Apartment building which was built for the executives of U.S. Steel way back in the day. To me, this place was stunning even now, and I can only imagine how awesome it must have been when newly built. And then there are all of those little odds and ends you'll stumble upon from days and lives past. Kinda like going back in time.
