Happy Holidays!
Yeah yeah! I know Christmas is passed now but maybe I can get this up by the New Year. I am writing this as I have one kid over my shoulder and the other on the can... the adventures of potty training. Anyhoo, here we go; a few goofy outtakes from a fun-filled Christmas and a shot of this picture frame I wrapped one of Grace's fingerpaintings around with a couple of pics of her doing the work. Hope your Christmas went well. Now onto the New Year; have a happy and healthy one!
FIRST Magazine For Women - Belvidere IL
I received a call a few months back from First For Women Magazine who wanted some beautiful environmental portraits produced for a Dr. Oz tiredness special. Mary of Belvidere IL had struggled with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and was doing much better due to the addition of D-ribose to her diet. You definitely have to read more on this if you have the chance. First For Women is full of great tips and tricks and very health conscious. These images were to show her full of life and shining! Not hard considering Mary was just that! Aside from the occasional rain fall the sun kept playing tricks with me during our session as it just couldn't quite decide whether it wanted to stay or go but no problem at all. We managed to get several great shots utilizing mainly the natural light and with the help of our reflector and a tad of fill. Thanks for the amazing hair and make-up which was done by the talented Hair Designs By Erin out of the Chicago area : ) and thanks to Christie at First For Women Magazine... oh, and fantastic chili dip Mary! Thanks.
Custom Volkswagon Bug - Lansing Airport
Got out to Lansing Airport for Chicago's Gearhead News to shoot Chad's custom VW Bug with none other than Chad of course, accompanied by his wife and kids, and also Dave Vos of Customs By VOS out of Lansing Indiana who did the wicked interior work.. This is one slick ride complete with air ride, a totally custom one-of-a-kind interior, and even a hand-made Carson Top. Sweet ride Chad and awesome stitches! Have fun with the next project!

Rockford IL Wedding And Reception At Prairie Street Brewhouse
Upon meeting Angela and Steven for the first time I could definitely tell this was going to be a fun filled day. Not just for them but myself included. These two were up for anything to produce some great shots and even after a morning full of rain and wind causing shots at Edward's Apple Orchard in Caledonia IL to be called off we watched the clouds break and the sun peak through: an open invitation. Although it was a tad soggy Angela and Steven were all about it... as was I. Now, I like to ask how and where couples meet, not just to develop some great images that really reflect the bride and groom but also because this is their story and I'm telling it for them. When they answered "Edwards Apple Orchard" my mind went a million directions. Just think, their story, their life, it all started right there. After some fun at the orchard we rolled out to meet the rest of the gang who were ready for a good time and anxiously awaiting at the reception which was held at Prairie Street Brewhouse in Rockford IL. The Prairie Street Brewhouse is quite a unique place in it's own and especially cool as a wedding venue. From the vintage surroundings of rustic brick and timbers to the Rock River just outside the back-door and the beautifully decorated interior lit by with Japanese lanterns strung throughout the arched steel beams the Prairie Street Brewhouse has tons of potential. Special thanks go out to Shawn who worked with us one-on-one the entire night to make the things run smoothly and really going the extra mile. I think the resulting images speak for themselves. Thanks to everyone for making Angela and Steven's special day just that much more special!
